Casual Gamers Hell

Ok this post is purely the technical details you’ll need to get into the game tomorrow.  There are two pieces of software we’ll be using.  I don’t know if Doug’ll be able to use them both though.

MAPTOOL

The first, and most important is RPtools ‘Maptool.’ Go HERE and download the 1.2 release candidate.  It’s java, so if you don’t have that, you’ll need to install java too.  It come already installed on the mac, so god help you if you don’t already have it.

Open up maptool and make sure it installs ok.  I used the webstart and it works fine.  Next see if you can connect to the test server that I’ve put up for tonight.  It’s not going to be there for a long time, so don’t worry too much if it doesn’t work.

SKYPE

The other software you need is skype.  Let me know your skype name before the game starts so I can ad  you to the conference.  See HERE for an explanation of why we use Skype and not some other woosy voip.

Just to answer a couple of questions.

You CAN be unaligned… as long as your actions don’t attract an evil alignment.

No warriors yet that I know of.  One Wizard, one warlord, probably one warlock (well, talk about pagan rituals anyway), so the rest is up to you!
